Meet your Ten Pages creator and host: @Bellini.Carly. Carly B stands five feet tall and drinks her coffee black. She is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Carly B is an attorney by trade and a writer, thinker, and creative by nature. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Temple University. Carly B is a government labor attorney with a demonstrated commitment to public service. In her free time, she is a regular volunteer with Planned Parenthood, a member of the Carnegie Museums, and a Madwoman in the Attic.
Combining her passion for storytelling and love for exploring diverse media, Carly B created Ten Pages to share her thoughts; spark meaningful conversation; and, most importantly, nurture a sense of community. The idea for the Ten Pages podcast sparked after Carly B read Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. To pace herself and manage the dense and complex narrative, Carly B read an average of ten pages per day. Upon finishing the novel, she sought a platform to share her thoughts and insights, resulting in the creation of the Ten Pages podcast. The inaugural episode focused upon Carly B's experience with and analysis of Infinite Jest. Since then, she covered a wide range of topics and published episodes about The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, Just Kids by Patti Smith, documentaries, films, trash reality television shows, and more.
Carly B's calming voice and engaging approach resonates with listeners, cultivating a community of book lovers and pop culture enthusiasts who appreciate her unique perspective and depth of analysis.
